Sell Your Classic Aston Martin DB
Aston Martin is one of the most reputed manufacturers of luxury sports cars. Founded in 1913, it came to popularity during the 50s and 60s, specially with the use of the DB5 series in James Bond film ‘Goldfinger’ in 1964. Aston Martin DB and many other sport cars of the brand are considered true British cultural icons. The DB models are named after Sir David Brown, who owned the company from 1947 to 1972.
Aston Martin DB4
The Aston Martin DB4 is a sports car sold by Aston Martin between 1958 and 1963. This model set the basis for subsequent Aston Martin classics, such as the DB4 GT Zagato and the Lagonda Rapide 4-door saloon. Although the design and construction techniques were Italian, the DB4 was the first Aston to be built at the company’s Newport Pagnell works in Buckinghamshire, England.
Aston Martin DB4 GT
The Aston Martin DB4 GT was a special lightweight, high-performance version of the DB4. It was introduced in 1959 and featured enclosed headlights, a thinner aluminium skin for lighter weight and a reduced wheelbase, which meant many cars didn’t have rear seats. Seventy-five GTs were built with this body style. Nineteen more were modified by the Zagato works in Italy into DB4 GT Zagatos. They featured plain oval grilles and a smoothed out rear end without the stock GT’s tail fins.
Aston Martin DB5
The Aston Martin DB5 was made by Aston Martin and designed by the Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera. Released in 1963, it was an evolution of the final series of DB4. Although it was not the first in the DB series, the DB5 is the most recognised version of them, as it was used as a cinematic car in the James Bond series, first appearing in the film Goldfinger (1964).
