Debuting in 1995, the Bentley Azure debuted the brand’s new line, sporting a bulky, sizable build that was meant to looks imposing and present while also providing comfortable seating for four adults. The line retained the platform of the Bentley Continental R, while the car itself was designed by Pininfarina, the famous Italian car design firm. While only nine units were produced in the first year of the Bentley Azure line, the following years saw the luxury car model meet significant success in its target market.
Bentley’s beloved large four-seater convertible is called “Azure.” It featured a 6.75-liter V8 with one Garrett turbocharger. With 360 horsepower, it could go up to 150 mph. The Azure was produced from 1995 through 2003. In 1999, the “Mulliner” trim version was available. It offered more torque as well as stiffen torsion bars in the front and the rear. That made for a vehicle with even better road-holding than before. Additionally, the Mulliner version added a special bespoke trim to the vehicle, making for a unique look.
