The Chevrolet Sting Ray is a beautiful car that manages to look both sporty and muscular.  This Corvette had the same fiberglass body as its predecessors but was oh, so much faster. The 1963 Corvette Sting Ray is also a safer car than its predecessors as a result of the generous use of steel in its body. The car has twice the steel support of previous cars, resulting in a safer driving experience.

Safety aside, the Sting Ray is very much a sports car, and so careful attention was given to performance at high speeds. To this end,  Chevrolet, for the very first time, uses wind tunnel energy while designing and refining the Sting Ray. The result is a very fast car that is a pleasure to drive.

The 1963 Chevrolet Sting Ray is available in two body styles- there is a convertible and a coupe model. All models come with a V8 engine but the customer has a choice of three transmissions- a 2-speed automatic or a 3 speed or 4-speed manual.

The Stingray’s interior was available in full leather giving the car a luxurious feel.   22,000 s cars were sold in 1963,with customers favoring the coupe and convertible equally.
