Due to stricter laws in the United States ,the 911’s available to the US customer differed from the ones sold to the rest of the world. To make things more complicated, the models available to California had different engines entirely from the cars sold in the other 49 states as California had even stricter standards than the other 49 states. Despite these differences, the look and quality of a 911 was unmistakable and the cars sold to the American market had all the luxuries of a Porsche despite the different engines.
