The 1965 Mercedes 230SL like others in the ‘Pagoda’ series,  was offered in two body styles. The customer could order either a coupe or a convertible . The large glass window( which  offered excellent visibility) and the comfortable seats made the 1965 230 SL a  pleasure to drive unlike other sports cars of its day.

The car came equipped with disc brakes in the front and drum brakes in the rear . The 230 SL was also the first Mercedes Benz sports car equipped with air conditioning. For model year 1965, Mercedes Benz produced 6, 325 230 SL’s.
