Lotus Esprit

The Esprit model was proposed in 1970 by engineer Tony Rudd and was later, officially, launched in 1975 at the Paris Motor Show. This line was better known as “Series 1” for the Lotus Esprit. With a fiberglass body that resembled a wedge, the shape of the car was unique in its own right. While the S1 seemed to have the best steering of an Esprit, the other modified models By the 1980’s the Esprit had undergone multiple changes, keeping it on the market until 2004. 18 models and multiple transformations later, the Lotus Esprit has quite the legacy as a classic car.
