The 1995 Porsche 911 was the market name of what was internally known as the first iteration of the Porche 993 model. Introduced as part of the 1995 model year, the Porsche 993 line featured a wide array of technological improvements upon its predecessor, and it was also the last batch of air-cooled 911 models. Only 20% of the car’s parts were vestiges of the previous Porsche generation, which meant it had a completely new engine and a new light-alloy subframe with coil and wishbone suspension. It was also the first Porsche 911 to receive a six-speed transmission.

As for the iconic and visionary exterior design, it was a work of renowned British automobile designer Tony Hatter, who also designed the Porsche Cayman and the Porsche 911 GT1.  It went on to have a variety of different variants that would change the body style, the equipment, and the drivetrains. It later went on to feature the VarioRam system, which granted it additional power in the mid-ranges.
