The 1952 Bentley R Continental looks like a classic car with its sleek lines and commanding presence. This brand new model is the fastest production car money can buy in 1952 and a sedan to boot.
The designers of the car, Ivan Evernden and John Blatchley, draw inspiration for the Continental R from the original Rolls Royce Corniche built in 1939 and also from the one of a kind Bentley commissioned for greek magnate Andre Embrico.
Together, those two models show that a 4 seater race car is possible. After extensive testing and numerous tweaks, the 1952 Continental is ready for sale- for a hefty price. Only 208 models are available with 100 of these exported from the UK.
