For model year 1965, the Buick Riviera received a few styling changes. The front end and bumper were redesigned and the non functional side scoops present in previous models were also deleted. Chrome “road wheels” became available for the first time.

 Another feature new for model year 1965 was the upgraded Gran sport package which was powered by the super wildcat  V8 engine. This especially collectable Buick Riviera is highly desirable as only 3,354 Rivera’s were ordered with the GS package.
